The Firearms Research Center recently hosted Virtual Seminar No. 18, “Point-Counterpoint: The Constitutionality of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1),” featuring Professors Margaret Groban and Lahny Silva. The discussion examined the constitutionality of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1) under the Supreme Court’s history-and-tradition framework established in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, as well as the impact of United States v. Rahimi, and United States v. Hemani.
