Firearms Research Center Executive Director Ashley Hlebinsky recently joined Gun Talk Nation to discuss Armed with Knowledge, a new initiative aimed at helping teachers across the country better understand and educate on the Second Amendment. Ashley discusses the need for historically grounded, academically rigorous, and nonpartisan resources that allow educators to teach and discuss Second Amendment rights with confidence and balance.
Supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Armed with Knowledge is led by the Firearms Research Center and brings together scholars, educators, and subject-matter experts from diverse perspectives. The program provides instructional videos, webinars, primary-source research tools, and in-person learning opportunities for middle and high school educators.
